For the second successive year, Rootz is collaborating with local charity, NahsebFik, in an effort to provide elderly residents of Malta some festive cheer over the holiday season.
NahsebFik was formed by Rootz's own CFO, Lina Pecorella, in 2014, with a primary focus on elderly citizens who suffer social difficulties as well as various health issues.
For some, Christmas can be an extremely lonely time, and so every year the charity gives the public an opportunity to show some generosity by fulfilling a wish. This year, Rootz has stepped up to help fulfil 10 of those wishes, and encourages the wider public to play their part too.
As part of our efforts to help make Christmas a bit more special for the elderly, Rootz will be sending out purple Wildz-branded Christmas trees and decorations, where recipients can place any wishes they have.

At Rootz, we strongly believe in giving back to the local communities in Malta and Gozo, however our efforts alone are not enough. This is why we are calling on all partners and fellow iGaming companies to join the initiative.
While Christmas is meant to be a time of joy for most of us, the elderly can often suffer isolation and even feelings of neglect from loved ones. It is important that we show them that they are not alone and do all we can to spread a little love at this special time of year.
Any contribution no matter how small - like writing out a Christmas card, can go a long way in generating some much needed cheer among the elderly community.
This year in particular has proved a lot more difficult than we could ever imagine, so let’s come together and lend a helping hand to others. Plus, what better opportunity to do a few extra good deeds?
